Hi elmer:

Aren't you the parade leader of the AMD naysayers?...with your August '99 Misathlon dissertation...Don't mind a bit your negative speculations, if your August analysis is an indicator of credibility.

Hey elmer, let's just wait and see if AMD shows a profit in 99Q4. Let's just wait and see if GTW jumps on board along with IBM and Compaq. Let's wait and see what Dell does?

It's awfully tough, I know, for those who have been on top so long to accept a legitimate threat to their "gravy train".

Plain and simple, elmer, we are witnessing a remarkable turnaround in the fortunes of AMD with its Athlon "the better mousetrap at the better price" and that reflects outstanding management decision making.

Still waiting for "your favourite company's" "some-time-in-the-future real competitor" to the Athlon. I'm not convinced based on the false starts to date, that this "some-time-in-the-future competitor" is ever going to fly...

But that in time will become apparent too!

Hey elmer...think you should discard your blinders and pick up some AMD below $30 if it is still available this week...

Elmer - RE: "Don't tell me.... I know... This time it's different....

Just like all the other times it was different too."

Nooooo, it's different from those times. ;)

(I get the point)

For the record, I think this being different this time will last the first half of next year. The second half and beyond depends on how well Dresden can do.

The company's future doesn't rest on the K7's shoulders anymore, it lies on Fab 30's in Dresden.
