I have wanted to respond to this for a month now but in a busy and chaotic personal period I kept procrastinating. Hello Russ. You have written what I also would like to echo. You said it well. I do not like to take a stance in matters where my knowledge is dubious. However, even though (as a Canadian) I perhaps knew less about the war than many others--I, nevertheless, do remember much of the rhetoric and much of the principals. I am sure Jane Fonda thought she did good; Unfortunately, I believe she walked in a fog of idealism, youth, and immaturity. I remember sensing something not quite healthy about her way back then. She was in a different zone.

Tim's words have the ring of truth for me; and his determined efforts have the ring of conscience, he either is (or he has) truth to tell. I think that my opinion is clear. I do not wish to put down anyone...only to honor those whom have suffered. It would be wonderful if Jane Fonda could come to this thread as an ordinary person (as she and we are), and make peace with herself...
