John Q, Aggie, Roebear (who seem to be most interested of climate change) and others ...

I hope everyone interested in global warming knows that by far the most abundant "greenhouse gas" in the atmosphere is water vapor. I think it accounts for over 80% of the greenhouse effect. (I need to check this, to make sure).
Most who write newspaper copy have probably not read many books on this topic and thus may even be unaware of this.
Secondly, if they are, they rather talk about burning of fossil fuels. In fact, there is very little we can do about water vapor in the atmosphere. I will mention one interesting fact though. Since warm air can hold more water, warming of the atmosphere has a built in POSITIVE feedback loop. That is, more water in the atmosphere, means more greenhouse gases in there and so on to more warming etc. On that note good night !

with my best, Seppo
