Syncrude....

Why are you so fixated with day-to-day price swings

It is my nature, what else can I say. Other long term traders can just lock away a stock and not look at the price for years. I on the other hand, until JDX, have almost always been a short term trader and it is my habit to watch and analyze all day to day price movements and patterns. It is a hard habit to break and I would suggest that people not interested in day-to-day movements just ignore my posts on the subject.... I don't mind talking to myself.

Short term bettors may have been right to sell after such a large price increase and long term bettors may have been right to hold for further appreciation.....Simply pointing to the press release fiasco, might not explain fully the subsequent market action or inaction.

You are correct and a press release fiasco does not fully explain the subsequent market action or inaction but does explain a hell of a lot. You are correct that many short term momentum players might have taken profit and they have ever right to, but many likely took profit because they saw the market weakness on the news. I have talked with no less than 11 long term JDX shareholders who only saw the first release and not the second, several of which sold on Monday for several of the reasons discussed in my previous post. If you were following a company that released news that you thought was good and the market didn't react in the direction you expected would you not question why and try and find out if you could? I sure hope you would or you haven't done all your Due Diligence.

I often wonder why I even go out of my way to post this stuff to the thread somedays...

Best Regards
KEITH
