Thanks Cirruslvr for the input!

If AMD is currently getting yields of 50% or better, as some suggest, it probably won't be necessary for Dresden to ever operate at capacity.

I'm intrigued by management's Y2000 projection of 25 million processors including non-Athlons. Seems to me, this (very conservative(?)) projection of 25 million could quite easily include 10 million Athlons.

Would you consider that a formidable but, given progress to date, attainable mix for Y2000?

<It will take quite some time for Dresden to reach full capacity. It may never even reach full capacity for AMD if they make a deal with someone. During the Q3 CC, AMD said that even Fab 25 hadn't reached full capacity, and that has been open since at least K6, probably even K5 or before.>

AMD is probably planning on getting some of the capacity up on 0.13. Assuming Intel pulls off 0.13 in Q3'00, AMD would need something to combat Wilamette with no later than Q1 '01.
