Hey! i also just got an HP 970!

I am warming up to the idea of replacing print heads with each purchase of a new ink cartridge. HP's solution offers this possibility, while Epson does not. I looked at several of their printers in the HP 900 series and below and the results are impressive.

I want to try to get some information about the durability of the Epson print head. My suspicion is that the ink is delivered in a different fashion altogether and the "gunky" deposits you see on the bottom of spent HP cartridges may not occur with all inkjet solutions.
