Pat, I guess he is both a daytrader and a position trader. One day I saw him trade 7 times for 5 to 8 points each time when the market just went sideways. All were winners. Some of them were a few points off of the 30/34 EMA when he was trading a pattern such as an expanding wave, but all were near the EMA. That is his requirement. His stops are very loose. He is prepared for his daytrades to turn into position trades if the market goes against him so he will only take trades that would also be a good position trade. He only trades in the direction of the trend or the last trend. He will ride for a day or two when the market trends.

Best Wishes,

Bob
