RE <<<The journey likely has already started. Short term bias is extremely bullish, however, we may see some resistance from here to 30. Short sellers are fighting every 1/8 of the AMD upward movement, and have not thrown in the towels yet. We should see a bit more tugging on the way to 30. Once we get to close to 30, the shorts will cover, and the trip to 33 will be faster.>>>

Richard, I looked at the AMD chart this weekend and I couldn't agree with you more. I had thought that AMD failed to gap out of the triangle formation, and that still may be true because of the same culprits you identify, the short sellers. However, have you ever seen a stock put up such a fight? Its not unlike the cowboys or the dolphins, keeping the ball on the ground but still gaining a few yards on each play while consistently moving the ball down the field.

Although it is possible that AMD will gap up with an announcement like GTW, I agree its more probable that AMD will keep its nose up, slowly moving up the chart, gaining "a half point here and 3/4's there" until it gets past 30. Whichever way it moves, there is no question of the strength behind its moves. I am impressed.
