L1, Looks like The Power report which is published by GilderGroup reference AMSC on 09/21/99 when it was $13.
That explains AMSC going up to $21. and falling back to $19 and change.
AMSC "utilizes high temperature superconductor(HTS)technology(a breakthrough that earned the two scientists that discovered it a NObel prize in physics in 1987) ASC has developed Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage(SMES). The resulting products, two of which were launched in 1998, are refrigerator-sized superconducting storage systems.
The interesting "thing" about the Power Report is that although it is published by the Gilder Group, the editors are Peter Huber and Mark Mills both whose by-line is on the story.
I have not taken a position in this company but probably will take a small one tomorrow.
You say the stop is
$17.7 and PO is $32, sounds like good risk/reward.
Answer me a question when the stock hits PO do you sell or keep and tighten stops? TIA
