Don,

I agree that the P/E is high.. I'm not currently a holder of the stock. However, it has been on my watch list. And seeing Zeev out here as well gives me a bit more comfort since I consider him a very savvy opinion.

There was great excitement over Rambus memory last summer, before the Intel delay became public, that drove the P/E even higher. I see no reason that could not be replicated once more, especially as product becomes available and licensing revenues finally begin to kick in on volume sales.

Dell and Compaq obviously see Rambus-based systems as the source of a major marketing push, given that this new type of memory can be easily explained to the consumer as the "next wave" in architecture and not just a modified, jerry-rigged, form of memory like DDR.

Boxmakers need Rambus memory architecture in order to deliver a product that is distinctly different than the boxes they are currently delivering, selling them at a premium, of course.

Computer junkies understand the benefits of Rambus memory and will respond in kind by snatching up every available system they can.

The current lack of visibility is merely a conservative over-reaction by the box makers until they are positive that they have sufficient product to meet anticipated demand.

Regards,

Ron
