Rande: I remember watching Joe K. describe ADSP rising from $3 to $7 and thinking "a good short candidate". Fortunately, I have never shorted, and I guess that was reinforced as to why this week. The crazy thing is how easy it would have been to say what the heck, do a couple of clicks with the mouse, short it @$7, drive to work, check the computer and realize that you just lost your life's work. Scary. I finally got around to reading all the research and posts re: LPTHA. Wow, but am I late to the party @$10+ ? ZDNT looks interesting, but something about it does not feel right to me. I have never seen a 400k float before. I wonder if there is any way to check that for a fact? I think BNBN (Barnes & Noble) might be a good e-commerce play for a 2 month hold. It seems like it is one that has not already popped. I'm not sure I would want to be holding brick and morter retail stocks when they post Q4 earnings. I bet this is the year the internet finally bites them hard. Thinking of something a little more boring than tech to hold for a while. Looking at Kroger (KR), grocery, convenience and jewelry stores. They recently bought out our Fred Meyer chain. I was surprised to see all of the 300+K to 1 million share block trades in the last week. You might be surprised at who they already own. kroger.com Also looking at AVII (formally AntiVirals), as a potential bio-tech play. I wish we all could have a pause button when things looked risky. You know, keep the same balance and portfolio - just pause for a week or two and return where we left off. I'd vote for that. BTW, remember that Monday is the Entertaindom web site grand opening. According to the Yahoo board, Superman and MP movies are featured prominently on the first page. I have not seen the site as it requires a password for a preview. Our SAM may yet shine brilliantly. As always, thanks to you and all the good folks here that help take the sleaze out of this whole trading/investing deal. Baton
