Paul,
Why are you picking a fight with me. I wrote what I believe to be true. If you want to see things through rose colored glasses, be my guest. Just please don't misinterpret what I was saying and twist it around.
I don't have an agenda here. I am long(profitably) the Feb 20 calls. I don't believe for one second that anythng that is written on this board affects the price of this stock by as much as a sixteenth.

Last quarter, Novell became like most large tech companies and broadcast the CC on the net. All companies I have ever listened to(at least 50 of them) offer the full length, only Novell doesn't choose to offer the analyst Q&A(this is where all of the commentary the company can't control is made).
Listening to the company comments, it sounded like a great quarter with a great outlook. Only later does the public hear that the company was guiding analyst to lower their revenue growth. This was not on the company press release or the CC comentary section. It was done in private conversation to many analysts, but not to you or me. This is waht the SEC is looking into.

Your remarks about "intentional", "running a vapor ware company", etc. show where
your agenda is --- you don't need the facts to badmouth Novell, you can basically
make them up as you go along can't you?

As you can see, I didn't make anything up. I went to the sight Tuesday and Wed. and it was an edited version.

I don't appreciate your starting stupid rumors about Novell trying to withhold
information from its shareholders.

These aren't rumors....just fact. I don't like it and know of no other company that does it this way. Why do you think this was an acceptable move. I think it was an example of another bad decision by Novell management when it comes to showing wall street savvy. I would call it a clear form of selective information. What do you call this decision? More importantly, why do you support this decision?
Is it irrational exuberance or can you give me an answer without making false accusations?

I can't help it if they didn't put the whole call up on the internet. But you could help
yourself by swallowing your pride and spending a few dollars and calling the CC
number and listening to the entire conference call and then shutting up about a Novell
conspiracy.

Who said anything about a conspiracy? Not me. I did say I think that Schmidt is not showing he is qualified to lead a company of this size. He has shown he can turn one around from the brink of death and he is a good CTO, but I don't ignore the street. I hope the street is proven wrong, but at this point, I thing Schmidt is not capable of doing this job to the satisfaction of shareholders.
