The Ericy / Csco arrangement shows me that major companies are more concerned with 3G than they would let on. I see Wi-lan with their OFDM, are apparently about to strike an arrangement with CSCO. Although it is years away, OFDM is a potential alternative to Q's CDMA patents. It will be very interesting to see who will be at the meeting on DEC 2nd in San Jose with Wi-lan and Csco. I know the Q is following this technology closely and won't be left out. The bottom line seems to be that inspite of their protestations Ericy will be virtually forced to go with CDMA, all the while keeping their eye on the OFDM escape route, which I believe will also be a non issue by the time it is commercially functional.
The last tick was up,
