RE <<<Actually Ted, it was dig toward the Intelabbees who blamed CPQs woes on the fact that they sell AMD chips...
So with the same logic why can't we give AMD some credit for CPQs regaining top retail market share and distancing itself from the pack, including all Intel, Gateway, Dell and HP?>>>

Jim, that's exactly why I keep bringing up the issue.....there is NO evidence, yet at least, that CPQ has pulled away from the pack. All it did was regain the lead in retail sales. Dell has the most direct sales in the US and I believe last quarter, for the first time, was the biggest seller of pc's in the US. CPQ is still the largest seller worldwide and GTW was catching up to both of them.

My attitude is that AMD's performance this year has taken care of the intellidiots and their remarks, and now we need to just watch that AMD continues to execute well.

RE <<<Again, it looks different this Christmas season...compared to last...>>>

A leopard doesn't change its spots that quickly....only more time will tell.

RE <<<You can always sell your AMD I guess...if you're scared of Intel. <G>>>>

I was never scared of intc so why would I start being afraid now.
