Does Sun's current price have any JAVA/JINI future revenue benefits priced into it; or is it only based on Sun's revenue derived (looking forward) from core technologies and hardware?

I think a year ago, you might have gotten a consensus here that it was 'not', with a qualifier that any Java news that could have remotely been viewed as negative for Sun (such as with the Java-M$ suit) impacted the SUNW value in a negative way.

With a SUNW multiple now wanting to go to 100, it's difficult to say that *anything* isn't priced into the stock. I'm sure SUNW gave whatever Java/Jini revenue guidance to institutions it could, but direct license revenue must be pretty darned hard to predict.

"Who knows?" is the best answer.

We have a ways to go in rounding out SUNW ownership with more retail investors. Those will likely be retail investors coming from MSFT and they'll likely come for Java? (I don't know).
