starfish, I'm so glad that you wrote to me! I think after the holiday, we're all ready to collapse, whether we had a good time or not. I understand, only too well, what it's like to be busy studying, in every spare moment that you have, and trying to raise a child, (in my case two). The benefit for me was that my children studied with me and understood the value of a good education. I was not able to give them anything on a silver platter. And because of that, they are responsible, self-sufficient, adults. I know it's hard, but your studying will pay off so much more than just getting a bigger paycheck. Many times I was at my wits end, and some person would cross my path and tell me "Hang in there, you'll make it. If I could do it, anyone can do it." And just hearing that would give me hope to get through one more day. And the days turned into weeks, the weeks turned into months, and years. And I found myself looking back, shaking my head, and thinking "I really did make it. And even better than I had ever imagined" Spend as much time as you possibly can with your daughter. Getting an ice cream cone, playing a game, anything the two of you enjoy doing together will be precious memories you will treasure forever. And one more thing, you have a new friend, "Me!" Call me, or e-mail me any time. You're not alone in this. I know it may seem like it now, but in time you'll see, there are more people who care about you and your child than you realize.
