I have a few responses to my friend, tekboy.

It consists in stealing shamelessly from Merlin, with modifications as necessary to account for his sheer laziness...

... defined as sitting on the deck with legs comfortably crossed, watching the autumn leaves flicker in the soft light, holding a drink in one hand while the aroma of the barbecued shrimp wafts ...

You get the point. Sheer laziness indeed. And damn proud of it. :)

His approach got me QCOM, GMST, SEBL, and CTXS, all of which (well, except the last, but who's counting? <tight-lipped-grin>) have performed very ...

Yeah, I know what he means about CTXS. It's only up 92% for the year. And about the same last year. A terrible performer.

Only this can explain why Gemstar is the belle of the ball while Siebel languishes, lonely and ignored, in the corner of the room.

Nah, the explanation is that we can all relate to Gemstar's product, unlike Siebel's, because it's a consumer product. Peter Lynch would be proud.

As for why Citrix is so high up on the list, dunno. Beats me. Was it high up there? Heck, now I'm not sure.

Oh well.

Back to sheer laziness. :)
