Here is a link for MGI:biz.yahoo.com I believe the link will answer most of your initial questions. ---------------------- RIM is also a Canadian company. They recently announced some kind of joint venture with Dell. But that wasn't where the best money was made. The stock dropped when it was revealed by the company that one of the Bell's wasn't going to be ordering (or was it, was going to delay an order) Rim's products. This caused the stock to drop down to around 27+ (note that we're talking U.S.$). Once the analysts came out and gave there comments on the news, it began to rise again. Rim makes a product known as Blackberry which is some kind of pager but with more capabilities. Similar (just guessing) to the new phones Sprint has begun to bring out with wireless capabilities....a sort of palm pilot one can communicate verbally through. The stock has since come back quite nicely (if you look at their chart). I wouldn't have even heard about this company had Mikey not alerted me to it. He finds some good plays, imo, but his market style is also more that of an investor instead of a player. BTW, Rim is listed on the Nasdaq under the symbol RIMM. -------------------------------------------------- I didn't say, "American companies listing on Canadian exchanges." What I said was, "Canadian companies listing on American exchanges." So therefore, those Canadian companies listing on American exchanges would be subject to the rules of reporting (unless we're talking about OTC:BB in which case I wouldn't know because I don't mess with them. Easier money to be made with better, more liquid companies, imo). -------------------------------------------------- I agree about the froth and momentum. However, this requires (I would think) one to stay on top of what is happening daily. Wouldn't seem prudent to me to buy it and just forget about it in a market such as the one we're seeing now. --------------------------------------------------- I think I saw the program you made mention of with regard to Warp-10 and Louis R. I also got the impression that Lou wasn't particularly impressed with the guy. Seems to me he had some particular quirk on how he picked stocks. Was he a psychologist or some such thing? Also seems he was comparing the company to Sybase, but it was so long ago my memory is rather hazy. Mike B.
