Edge-card connectors roll for Rambus

LISLE, ILL. - Molex Inc.'s Hi-SpecGS Memory Expansion Card Connectors meet the demands of Rambus memory systems by performing at 400 MHz on the 28-ohm Rambus channel. The connectors feature Molex's proprietary Ground by Design contact system with two mating levels: longer power ground contacts and shorter high-speed signal contacts.

The edge cards are suited for connecting RIMM expansion memory systems in servers and workstations.

HiSpecGS edge-card connectors are available in two circuit sizes: a 108-circuit connector for chip sets with a single-channel Rambus controller, and a 242-cir-cuit connector for chip sets with a dual-channel Rambus controller.

Also available is a 330-circuit HiSpecGC connector designed for 50- ohms impedance systems. A 108-contact Hi-SpecGS edge card costs $4.50 each in 50,000-piece quantities. Delivery is typically six to eight weeks.

As stated, I don't see RMBS as playable - long or short. And certainly not of investment quality.

My apologies for misreading the 15,000 Holdings followed by a subsequent sale of 19,000 shares as being Tate's total position.

Nonetheless, his sales and that of several other Senior RMBS staff go far beyond the necessary pocket change for new Ferraris, homes, gifts, etc.

I don't trust their accounting behaviours and I certainly wouldn't risk my money long or short in this company.

FWIW,
Ian.
