TO THE THREAD: This explains the Samsung announcement last week regarding blank RIMM modules. These blank RIMMs would represent the new RIMM design not old. If I remember correctly some ungodly value of billions of WON that equals $ 110 million. This is the value of blank RIMM to be produced by 2001 just by Samsung alone. That would mean a lot of new RIMMs to be produced in total. Also, it explains unavailability of RDRAM systems. The new RIMM design systems are coming in January. john
