Tom, as a long time NTAP holder, I commend you on your decision to take a position in NTAP. I am more optimistic about their future than ever, in light of their stellar quarter and forward looking statements.

I hope you will contribute to the NTAP thread. It stays pretty quiet over there, but that my change soon.

Also commend your QCOM, JDSU, CSCO holdings. Gotta love their results and be optimistic about their future.

One observation that I would make is that those companies like CSCO, JDSU and QCOM that are making the enabling technologies for telecommunications, are substantially outperforming the older gorillas from the microcomputer era. I have been trimming my positions in the microcomputer gorillas,(MSFT, INTC} in favor of infrastructure companies more closely associated with networking and bandwidth.

Good post Tom. I think you are right to trim PC-centric stuff in favor of telecommunications/internet. Given the results of the survey, I would say the Thread agrees with you based on the Widely Held. I wish my wife would let me trim Lu and Intc. <g>
