Marc: Re: "I think Bob may be telling us one day what a great buy this
was on the IPO."

Hey, hey you may be right. I scooped bobbrinker.com on this one (not an easy accomplishment <g>) and I discovered today that Bob Jr. has set up an IPO site for B2B IPOs subsequent to my post with Freemarkets.com as the only listed offering.

Re:" Now the question is for those who don't get some shares on the
IPO how high a price to pay and what might be good timing."

Yes, with any luck it will come public when the market is weak or will retreat on future weakness.

P/C 10 day moving average at a ridiculously exuberant 0.46. At the same time after all that impressive work getting long bond from 6.4% to 6% we now are looking at 6.3% again. Dollar yen has been sniffing close to parity. The best inflation news may be behind us with import prices rising though some certainly an oil effect. Per Bob's previous comments if the Nasdaq starts to lose its outperformance leadership winning ways could have bad implications for the whole market. Hard to know how to play things here but maybe I should liquidate everything and put a market order in when freemarket.com starts to trade<g>
