Brian,

<<I have no idea who these elusive and brilliant "christian scholars" are nor do you put forth where they differ from me>>

Are you serious? There are Catholic scholars, Lutheran scholars, Episcopalian scholars, etc. Many don't even feel that the Bible is to be taken literally. Almost all differ in some way, shape, or form. You have no proof that the Pope is wrong and you are right. Many earnest and well meaning Christian scholars have dedicated their life to the study of the scriptures. Only a minority see the need to be born again.

You claim that an earnest desire to the know the truth will fill one with KNOWING. Are Catholics less earnest? Are those pious christians that are not born again, unknowing or less earnest?

Perhaps they are elcted and you are not?

<<They are not honestly dealing with the God, the creator of the world, nor themselves.>>

You mean that voicing questions and doubts that you truly have is being dishonest, while blind faith and squelching any disagreemtn that comes to your mind is honest?

That is a bunch of malarky! Honesty is just that, being honest with whatever thoughts and feelings you might have.
Not voicing those opinions is the true act of dishonesty....

<<I don't think your nice... I think your a con !>>

I'm sorry that you feel that way. I am more than willing to voice my honest feelings. I am sorry if you feel that is a con. I think it is truth, my truth.

I will not honor anyone or anything that is not based in love for all. I respect your freedom to believe any way you wish, I will not deny you that freedom. However, I could never willingly bow down to anything that IMO promotes isolation and separation, and IMO that is what your take on Christianity does. It is not a path that I wish to follow.

Mark
