gee, we haven't had a nice annoying post on this thread in awhile... so with that in mind, here are some wonderful little items taken from an old calendar, aptly named "life's little destruction calendar". each day has a new suggestion for how to be oh so annoying... 1) put on airs 2) hand out your business cards at funerals 3) measure people by the money they have and the clothes they wear 4) answer a question with a question 5) brag a lot 6) pretend you're listening 7) practice pulling the wool over people's eyes 8) slap people on the back 9) run everybody's life but your own 10) reserve compliments for people who can do you some good 11) open old wounds whenever possible 12) see if you can be the first one off the plane even if you are sitting by the window 13) assume everybody agrees with you, but keep trying to convince them 14) follow the letter of the law, not the spirit 15) tailgate the elderly 16) tell your dog you're going for a walk, then don't 17) ask how people are, but don't wait for a response 18) whistle a happy tune -- over and over 19) be ambiguous; it let's you work both sides of the issue 20) develop at least three strategies for cutting into the front of lines 21) sneer at people who try hard 22) alternately raise and lower your voice to make people question their hearing 23) assign names to your body parts, like "winkie" 24) be a perfectionist in absolutely everything 25) hold out until the other guy gives in 26) notice good ideas and pass them off as your own 27) tell little children the truth about santa claus 28) go all out to win when you play games with kids i hope that these ideas have been annoying enough to make everyone want to try a few of them out. :) mark
