I agree regarding Barrons...several years ago they had the most in-depth journalism in financial reporting. If you read Barrons and Investors Business Daily, you got a good picture of what was happening. But the internet has really shown the weaknesses of their form of reporting. And they have moved more and more into the eternally negative camp on just about everything. Maybe this is how they see their role, contrarian and skeptic. They are wrong so much of the time that their "follow up" column ends up pointing out their errors more often than their correct forecasts. The impact of any comment in Barrons is limited after about two days.
