Can anyone tell me any more about the Gray's numbers? What are they, when do they come out, how
I can learn more about them? Thanks... Hopefully, when they do come out they will reflect ANCR's
impressive list of OEM wins from the past 12 months and adjust relative market share accordingly... I
think then there may be the realignment Buzz was talking about.

Did a little poking around and realized "Gray's" must refer to Robert Gray of IDC. IDC's much quoted 1998 Worldwide Fibre Channel and Storage Area Network Market Forecast and Review did indeed cite BRCD as having 84% market share.

A quote from an old BRCD press release re: IDC's report:

<<The most recent IDC report reviews the current SAN industry and provides
forecasts for all elements of the SAN industry through 2002. The report is entitled
"1998 Worldwide Fibre Channel and Storage Area Network Forecast and Review"
and will be available in late December through the IDC web site (www.idc.com) and
through the IDC sales organization (508-872-8200).>>

I haven't found written confirmation, but I believe I remember reading somewhere that there would be another IDC Fibre Channel forecast and review at the end of this year. Perhaps, as last year, it will be available in late December. I very much look forward to the new numbers.
