The New York Post and the Daily News have far bigger circulations than the Times, and are pro- Guiliani. I would not be surprised if there were friendly venues in other local media...Is Joe Franklin still on? Anyway, if it were monolithic, Dinkins would stayed in Gracie Mansion, and his successor would be weighing a second term as mayor.....

Bill, the media spin is not yet in second gear, much less high gear. I predict we will see the most vicious, tawdry, and mostly false, character assassination in the history of politics. What is going on today sickens me. I suppose you saw the intrusion of bubba into the meeting in Oslo. It reminds me of the old book, "The Ugly American".
