All factors should be counted in determining which processor is the fastest. After all, this isn't a very convincing slogan: "The FASTEST chip in all the land, if you don't count L2 cache and SSE!" <And I'm guessing you saw this article (usual Register caveats apply)> Nah, I missed it. To paraphrase Jay Leno, "You know the guys at the YUK Register check their facts, recheck, and then check again!" I could call the Psychic Friends Hotline and I'd get information just as accurate.
