SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Optibase (Nasdaq: OBAS - news) today announced an OEM agreement with Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO - news) under which Optibase will supply its MPEG MovieMaker 200 MPEG-1 and -2 encoding solutions for Cisco Systems' IP/TV solution. According to the terms of the agreement, Cisco will integrate Optibase's MPEG digital video hardware using Optibase's Progression(TM) Software Development Kit (SDK) with Cisco's IP/TV 3400 Broadcast Servers and will retain nonexclusive rights to promote, market, resell and distribute the technology. In addition, Optibase's Videoplex XPress(TM) is used as the MPEG hardware decoder for Cisco's IP/TV 3.0.
