Bill, Rep. Jim DeMint (R) of S.C. Sponsored a Resolution in the House to give Shoeless Joe his rightful place in th Baseball Hall of Fame..Sen. Fritz Hollings and Strom Thurmond also successfully sponsored one in the Senate. Sen Thurmond at 96 may remember the Case..They have pointed out that he was acquitted of Gambling Charges in Court and have ask the Baseball Commissioner to Review the evidence and decide. Since Shoeless Joe was a native of Greenville, S>C where he worked in Textile Mills. They have an Interest ;-) I believe he will make it...dont you???
