Heinz - Look at the stocks that are active today - only 5 of them are "real" companies. The viability of the other 5 will be a big Q 3 years down the road.

Bond looks ready to tank. Get ready for a violent shake out.

re: <<every morning, like clockwork, the merry pranksters add another 4,5 billion bucks in reserves to the system....>> I think that will help hasten the bond-break which is vital for the equity break. IMO.

heinz,

Do you follow the DJ 20 Bond Average? I started following it when I picked up P&F and it has been an very reliable indicator of future interest rate direction (its an inverse indicator - DJB down -> Rates Up, etc.). Something worth keeping an eye on, considering it continues to get pounded.

I'll post some levels on it tonight when I get a closer look at its P&F chart along with the CRB which may be setting up for a reversal of its downtrend.

Heiz, btw one of the treasury articles had this item near the end of it:

"The end of the Fed's two-week maintenance period on Wednesday will also keep upward pressure on Fed funds."
biz.yahoo.com

Don't know what it means. Maybe someone else knows what all the fed does during their "two-week maintenance period".

Oh -- fair warning, I took my towel back.
