Aus and thread,

I purchased a RCA Lyra with 64MB CF card. I have the following comments to share:

1. The plastic case seems to be more fragile than I anticipated. Hopefully, I won't drop it!

2. It's 4.5" x 2.5" x 0.875" and takes 2-AA batteries which are supposed to last for 12 hours of music.

3. It has a backlit LCD which is nice. The volume and sound with the included headphones is very good.

4. It uses mpx files, so you can not play mp3 files directly. They give you a parallel/keyboard port flash card burner which is controlled by Real Jukebox software to program the flash card in a secure manner. You can't just copy mp3 files to it directly and listen to them.

5. It uses TI's dsp and is software upgradeable for future file formats.

6. Sandisk's name is on the back of the RCA branded CF.

7. It's great for jogging, no skipping or distortion.

If SNDK goes into the 50's, I think it's another buying opportunity for all of us.
