"do you spell that with or without an "e")..." I guess it depends if you're a republican or democrat'e'. Kind of like ketchup or catsup. Uh oh, banter again.

True, all statements relative to momentum are true. I guess that is the trick. In and out is tough with Q. That is why many here are long term holders and buy on dips people? At least that is the impression...

"all comments made on "short term"......and anyone who regularly frequents these threads have a penchant for the short term, if true buy and hold mentality they would have better things to do!"

I guess I don't have anything better to do than watch the spuds grow. : )

Good luck to you too.

Q rocks.

I guess I can vouch for that. I "rolled" out various calls on Qualcomm over the last two months, beginning with Jan 200s I'd purchased a few months back. All the way up it was like picking ripe fruit off trees as fast as you possibly can. And then I hit the 400 wall. I have a few of those calls. And time decay is cheerfully munching away at them, poor benighted calls. If I had waited and bought some more when Qualcomm inevitably retraced, I'd be even better off than I currently feel I am. As you once said, all stocks take breathers. Even so, I'm just holding steady, as all good things come to those who wait...who wait...ummm...a few days at least! In this forum, every 24 hours is a mark of patience!

Couldn't agree more with the first part of your comment or disagree more with the "observation" as to the value of SI for long termers.

As someone who has found that seeking out rapidly growing technologies and then doing my best to find leaders within them, I find SI invaluable.

That has nothing to do with buy and sell timing.

Also I would suggest that in my lifetime I have found that I have lost much more money selling too soon than selling too late. The trend in the market and particularly in well chosen stocks such as the Q with strong fundamentals is up looking 3 to 5 years into the future. If the fundamentals change, I am gone, but not before.

Note: This is for stocks. Wish you well with your option expertise.

But this is just my approach. Experience from about every mistake possible with different "techniques".

To each, his/her own.

Whatever works, great.
