Well I can't say all CROs are equal but even within CRO's it can vary from office to office and from one Program Manager to another. Companies that know what they are doing of course, will try for the most solid trials possible. Trials can be poorly designed and/or poorly executed; either way you end up with a problem come review time.

I would be very hesitant to impune one or the other of these companies, and I'd be a bit cautious of someone who does. Unless I hear it consistently about a CRO or a particular office/person, its just as possible the trial sponsor or one of the sites could be at fault in such isolated problem cases.
