<<there are those within IOM who are comparing the new CEO designate as an aggressive intelligent version of Kim Edwards.>>

Darrell, that thought crossed my mind the minute I read the release on this board. Could it be? I thought to myself.

<< Potential soon to be announced zip based camera; even as Shiela has stated>>

Yeah, I remember reading her post a long time ago stating that a Zip based camera was coming. It makes you wonder if she was prevy to some inside info, eh?

<<They've been working on the Zip based camera for a long time now>>

About time! Anyone reading this board knows I've often wondered why IOM had not introduced a Zip based camera, especially when one considered the success of the Mavica based on onld technology. How are sales of Mavica going, BTW?

Darrell, are you following NOK? It's been on one breath taking ride with the best yet to come (next 2 years.) This is why I don't bother with IOM as much.

<< go ahead Ken. put the liquor back in your old lady's bag, and stop laughing. welcome to IDA, Iomega Drunkards Anonymous >>

Wait.. Let me take a sip.. ahh!!! I managed to stay away for one month. I'm getting better!

What about this Dell announcement on Tuesday? Just more evidence of the shift towards lower and lower price, low feature PCs. The jump in the disk drive sector today makes no sense in this context! The only logical explanation is an aberration.

The ZIP looks to be in trouble! OEM inclusion seems to have topped, revenues have been topping, and the biggest problem is that it hasn't taken 'hold' like the original floppy did. These comparatively small volume items (like Sega or the camera) will help to slow the inevitable tide some.
