>> Rambus: What is their status on the "candidates" list? Have they made enough missteps that they should be removed from it? Can they possibly beocme a royalty gorilla?

I wouldn't put a dime in them. They don't control their own fate, and Intel blinked when they confronted the memory cartel. There is no such thing as a Royalty Gorilla.

>> Intel: Are their days numbered as a gorilla, with today's announcement by AMD of a 750 Mhz chip?

Intel is an Enabling Gorilla who is now rambling down Main Street. Nothing but a discontinuous innovation can threaten them. AMD is Intel's Monkey, and can be thwarted by Intel by any number of Gorilla tactics.

>> Zi Corp. Is it a possible gorilla?

Not even close. They're a Shiny Pebble. I don't even know if I'd characterize them as a technology company. In the end, if their approach is viable, China will steal it anyway.

Have you rtfm?
