Jill:

Have been selling Dec OTM puts even today. The premium will decay fast. Now if you sell QCOM Dec500 at 2 and sell DEC380 put at 28, then if you get called, essentially you are selling QCOM at 530. Based on closing price of 371, you get 43% return in less than 3 weeks. Not bad. Your break even point is 350, anything between 350 and 500: you make money and keep the shares. The optioninvestor refers buying Dec500 call as pure gambling.

Best regards

Paul
