Well, strong or up and coming stocks in strong or up and coming sectors.....I would agree with that.

No, I haven't seen anything on Sector Bell curves as yet.

I guess a strong Stock in a weak sector isn't bad......just that it may underperform consistently against one in a stronger sector I suppose. Don't know.....but you have to filter somewhere. I guess the test might be to go back and review how stocks faired in the Control Group versus how they fared when you only took stronger Sectors versus how they fared when you only took Strong Stocks in Strong Sectors and so on.
