Tim, the market seems to be tracking about as expected. A couple of my bets for next year, CMED (investment--it's #14 on Forbes "Best Small Companies list) and CTEC (speculation) were actually up on the day. IOM is another of those stocks in companies that I really don't trust -- but I like the possible percentage gains for a recovery into January from whatever low December brings.
It baffles me why SIII is so weak -- I'd really be disappointed if I had bought it. But would not be discouraged from trying to ride it up from wherever the bottom is.
I'm looking through that Forbes list of best small companies to see if there are some really good prospects that I've been overlooking. If anything looks like a prospect, I'll post for discussion. We have a couple of weeks (on the schedule I'm using as a rough plan) to short out some good bets. Then I'll use any spare cash to pick up some of the more volatile small cap funds (VWEGX, VWTKX, FUSMX, TPSCX) that should have good percentage gains into Jan, and likely will be riding the "right" wave in 2000.
Meanwhile, your analysis on LTXX still is "right on" to me, and I'll be holding -- or adding to -- that position.
