BV: I'll use small words then. The entire old testimate is full of abusive scriptures towards women. I called one into question one where a man finds a woman at the well, he likes her and sleeps with her, but if he doesn't like her afterwards then all he has to do is pay off the father. You would try to justify this abuse with what ever it was you said about money going towards the dowry. Oh yea, that makes it ok then? But that example was not the only one and you darn well know it. Only a mindless zealot would try to justify the abuses of the old testimate towards women. How is it godly to take a woman, dump her, and pay off her dad. Or if she was good then she can be your concubine. Gee which was better? Would YOU find such behaviour acceptable today and if so can I buy YOUR daughter for a day? We could go round and round with examples just as this one. The point was to call into question the base nature of the text you people worship. Hopefully you might see that its not as godly as you claim.
