Hi Jaytee; I wouldn't doubt for a minute that MSFT has some CMGI
but for academic purposes lets put taht into some perspective.
MSFT is over 10 times larger than CPQ.
CPQ owns 17% of CMGI...for MSFT to own enough CMGI to effect her
the way it does CPQ, then MSFT would have to own 170%...<G>
---------------
In other words if they both owned the same amount
the amount owned by CPQ means 10 times more to her bottom
line than it would to MSFT.
-----------------
End of academic part, but being I have a position in CPQ
here is the Spam part
I don't know how much MSFT has
but I doubt it's anything like 17%.
In fact CPQ owns more of CMGI that the TOP 10 institutional
investors all put together, and she got that by turning over
83% of Alta Vista to CMGI..she still owns the rest of Alta
Vista and before long CMGI is going to take Alta Vista public
at that point CPQ will benefit from both from the gain CMGI makes
as well as her own part of Alta Vista.
----------------
MSFT is a good company and holds dominance over the moves in the
NDX however with the size of her market Cap she would have a
hard time making a double..on the other hand CPQ can do
it and still not have a "huge cap".

CPQ has been beat down but those who abandoned her have no
real Computerese experance..I use to build boxes and set up
networks, & I know CPQ has some tricks up her sleeve and a
lot going for her the bean counters don't have any idea about.
I won't go into the details as I don't want to start technical
arguments and when I start talking about the Alpha processors
or net working every one and his brother wants to jump on it
and it just eats up to much time.
BUT give CPQ some time she will double, & maybe more,
in short I think she has more upside potenual and in a
shorter time frame than MSFT.
