How can this auction be regarded as disappointing? That much gold was absorbed by the market at a price that people would have laughed at a few months ago. IMO, the POG rallies from here into the first quarter despite what the press spin is.

More on Gold Fields, which has apparently reduced its hedge book and thinks POG will rise-
