I could be wrong, and I don't want to read too much into things, but, even though Microsoft's official position on the issue of breaking up the company has not changed, I detect a certain softening of resistance to the idea.

Your shift on the issue is one very small indication of that change.

I would never expect Microsoft to change its official public position at this very early stage of the lawsuit and settlement negotiations, but what I wouldn't give to be a fly on the conference room wall during those meetings with Posner!
