scanshift - Additional ADSP pain. Read the post below. It came from the Yahoo DRBOB board, and was posted on RB. This guy apparently sold some naked calls and was not paying attention when the stock skyrocketed. Jim ************ I'M DOOMED *********** by: hnirnan 11/26/1999 6:54 pm EST Msg: 6614 of 7680 Wow! Ouch! The pain! You have no idea folks. I am very happy for all of you. But I am screwed. I have no clue what I did wrong with this or in life, in general. Got a forced to cover call at a very painful loss of $230,000. Two-hundred and thirty thousand dollars! Had I have gone long in ADSP like I usually do, I'd be a very happy person! I was no doubt on the wrong side of this momentum train. I didn't see it coming. I guess perhaps I was in ADSP long too many times getting burned that I thought it was the same old story. I don't know. Who knows? But as usual, it didn't work out for me. Ironic that I was long at $4 last month and sold at a nice fat loss. It's also ironic that in the year or so that I've been trading this is only the 3rd time I've ever shorted a stock. I have no clue where I'm going to come up with this kind of cash to pay the debt I owe, nor do I know how I am going to pay my bills, keep my house and my family. I sit behind my computer in a daze realizing that in a month or two all this will be gone and I will probably be homeless. What the hell happened? Did I misunderstand something or was it all just I'll buy it if you buy it at a higher price from me? And why wasn't it that way when I was long at $4 a month ago? Ah, I guess the man upstairs had an axe to grind with me, or something. My head feels numb. I am in total shock. I'm not a bad person, yet my entire life and everthing I've worked for is completely destroyed. I know you guys must have all made a fortune today. Congratulations again.
