All, So far we have 92 responses to our "still here" poll on those holding long. Please allow me to sincerely express you are a fine group of intelligent people with an abundance of humor and warm hearts. With 100% truthfulness I have not received ONE bitter message. Again-not one! Remarkable really under the circumstances... and a privilege for me to to read. You're all proving that true dignity really is grace under pressure. Many who have responded have their immediate families invested (brother, sister etc.) and a lot of friends. Many of you have expressed deep disappointment and some just plain sadness. A couple messages were from retired folks who have been really hurt by this. Most of us are still hopeful and not just resigned..which I feel is good. AGAIN: If you're still holding long, please keep posting so here, PM me or e mail me at george@georgebigelow.com All names off this main thread will be kept in confidence. I'll keep posting results until Friday 12-3-99. (Happy beginning of Hanukkah!) You're a kind and elevated group. In my heart it's hard for me to believe that this collective goodness won't eventually work out for all of us. I guess it's just best to keep positive, count our blessings as we enter this holiday season as we make our way into the new millennium. It's a good time to do something nice for someone. Thank you all for your trust..and please forgive my not acknowledging everyone personally. Onward! George
