The two things I have heard against Preterist views are that it is Anti-Jew and the other that it is
Roman Catholic and "designed" to undermine Christian Political involvement..

Both I find quite silly...

I am a Partial Preterist !

I believe Math 23-24 are set up to answer more than ONE QUESTION.

Also Revelation is about both " things which must have shortly come to pass" and the end of the world..

Look at the Questions ( plural )

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately,
saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

1. when will these things be ( destruction of the temple and Judgement of the stored up wrath .. "I will send you" )

Matthew 23:34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

This was immediate ... sending the Elect to be persecuted and killed by those very people and that very generation !

2 ( and or ) 3. The "sign of His coming" Is it physical.. is it Judgement... Is the Judgement of Israel the MOST POWERFUL SIGN the world has ever witnessed that INDEED the Messiah had come ! More so than the gifts at Pentecoste ?

3. ( some do not separate as another issue ) THE END OF THE WORLD ! ( I do the disciples may not have when they asked the question however surely the destruction of the temple could seem the very end to them ) Some say it means The world as it was right at that moment or under that old mosaic dispensation... I believe Christ answered it as being about the END OF THE WORLD PERIOD ! Apart from the Judgement of Israel in 70 AD.

The pattern is the same for Revelation ! Some of it very close at hand but some of it about the very end when Christ shall judge the whole world and loose satan one more time upon the whole world. " Coming in Clouds " is a very common phrase to indicate coming to Judge but not a physical coming.

REV 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Revelation given to JOHN alive then to show servants alive then about things that would happen very shortly while they were alive..

Can you imagine John giving the Church this book and saying Oh by the way that stuff doesn't happen for another 10,000 years or so but it make great reading while you suffer for the cause ?

The Seven Churches are Literal Churches that existed and the order is the same geological order that you would address them if you actually traveled the land and visited in person :-}

The release of satan is at the end of the world...after this dispensation see the whole world converted to Christ Nationally ( still only a powerful remnant within it are actually saved ) Israel becomes the Queen Nation among Nations and at long last the world Honors that Nation as the Elect Nation see Isaiah about those promises and Romans 11.

Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Romans 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Christ will gather Jerusalem.....

Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Christ will gather Jerusalem.....THE HOLY CITY

Santiago may disagree :-}

P.S. Rapture is Garbage and human invention. Men are translated at the last day because not all men will die and Christ will return to a world going about business as usual....

Matthew 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

Look up " Last Day " in your Bible... you will see that time ends when Christ returns... and death is swallowed up in victory !

This has nothing to do with any anti-Jew or Klan beliefs. It is to me simply the truth of the Gospel.

"?What is the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?? (Matt. 24:3), they must have had in mind the destruction of the temple; Jesus had just told them that the temple was going to be completely destroyed (Matthew 24:2). For the disciples, the destruction of the Holy Temple would have been viewed as nothing less than a massive upheaval or end of their entire religious/political world. So it?s not surprising they would connect the destruction of the temple with the final coming of the King and with the end of the age (cf. Isa. 66:6).

Jesus said, ?Many false christs will rise up, and false prophets? (Matt. 24:24). The rising up of many impostors was a sign that the last days had arrived. The apostle John understood that this was being fulfilled in the first century A.D. when he said, ?...it is the last hour, and as you heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have risen up; by this you know that it is the last hour? (I John 2:18). John told his readers in this verse that they could know it was ?the last hour? (the last hour of Biblical Judaism) because ?many antichrists? had risen up. In other words, since Jesus said that many false christs and false prophets would appear in the last days, John and the other Christians knew the end was indeed near for them because many of the deceivers had already appeared.

Jesus said, ?And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come? (Matt. 24:14). The good news had been preached to all the world by the time the book of Romans and the book of Colossians were written in the first century. Romans 10:18, ?Their voice (the voice of those preaching the good news) has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world?. Col. 1:23, ?This...gospel...has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven?. And shortly after the good news was preached in the whole world in the first century, the end of the Old Testament world came in fiery judgment in A.D. 70, at the destruction of Christ?s enemies.

Finally, in Matthew 24, Jesus said, ?This generation will in no wise pass away until all these things have happened.? ?This generation? means the same thing here as it does in most other places in the NT. It speaks of those living at that time. So all of Matthew 24 was indeed fulfilled within the forty year period between the cross and the destruction of Jerusalem, including the parousia and the end of the age."
