Hi Ike,

I thought I would pitch in here.

This seems to be the product of unsophisticated ebay buyers and the seller. This is a "dutch" auction of 1500 items.

That means that until there are 1499 bids higher than $2.99 the indicated price will not increment higher. The bid history shows bids of $10 and $12. Clearly, those guys don't know how a dutch auction works or they wouldn't try to outbid the highest bid.

The seller, on his part, may get a reasonable price for his product from the highest bidders, but may have to take an unreasonably low price from bidders 1400, 1401, 1402........

Hope this clears up "dutch" auctions.DS
