RS, The article states that Globalstar will start service in Mexico on 15 Jan and have 10,000 customers. This tells me that they expect to have 10,000 customers at startup which would be very good. Nowhere does it mention that it will take till the end of the year to achieve this.

Unfortunately I read the following at the Total Telecom website....

Globalstar de Mexico Executive President Lauro Gonzalez told
a news conference the company had invested $60 million in
the country and projected some 10,000 users by the end of
next year.

Globalstar de Mexico would charge $2 a minute for national
calls, he said but did not provide rates for international calls.


It might depend on the translation....
