Would you mind if the reporter wasn't hired because he was an Episcopalian? Or a Muslim? Or a Buddhist? Or an atheist? The point was that the paper hired only Christian Scientists (which draws more from Mary Baker Eddy than from Christ, IMO). The fact that this particular reporter was Jewish was fortuitous, which is probably why the court ruled that the paper was NOT being "anti-Semitic." Besides, I understand that the CSM abandoned that policy long ago (probably because there are not that many good reporters who also happen to be Christian Scientists). Joan
