Does anyone know if there are plans to broaden the scope of HDR's capability (ie. to support video and voice, as well as data)? Thanks.

HDR is a data only technology. So when carriers such as Sprint PCS want to offer wireless data access to devices, they can dedicate a whole frequency spectrum to only data, which gives them more capacity than if they split that spectrum with voice and video. But, when one thinks about it, 3G will essentially offer the same speeds (approximately 2 Mb/s indoors, 384 K/s outdoors at walking speeds) as VOFDM or HDR. And it will be dedicated to voice, video, and data.

FWIW,
Justin
